Here's what is being said about our program:
"I thoroughly enjoyed the demonstration. You did an excellent job and I swear I can still taste that turkey burger....Too delicious!!!" - Tara, workshop participant
Other participants have said that they liked the range of food because it wasn't something they would have normally thought to prepare and they were encouraged to try the recipes on their own.
The program was featured Newsday: A new corporate perk: Cooking class
"Lynbrook consulting firm is giving its employees a sweeter kind of fringe benefit: company sponsored cooking workshops. DOAR Litigation Consulting, which is based in Lynbrook but also has offices in Manhattan and Washington, D.C., is offering the program, which is available to companies through The Baker's Lady LLC, a company founded and operated by Long Island native Kimberly Baker. Baker said the workshop is "designed specifically for corporate professionals... to empower them to be in greater control of their work/life balance and encourage active involvement in the kitchen." The Baker's Lady doesn't just offer the Executive Chef program DOAR signed up for; the company also ships cookies and other sweets from its Richmond, Va. headquarters. Baker said DOAR's engagement of her services shows that the company cares about employee morale and "understands that cooking is a great way to unite people." "We believe in a broad based approach to cooking -- from fast and easy to more elaborate, time-intensive meals." - Source: Wagner, Daniel. newsday.com, 7/10/07
Long Island Business News also highlighted the workshops on their blog: "Team building, the delicious way." For more details...
